A Simple Assessment of Heart Health
My husband, Ross, uses a simple assessment called “the arm swing” during every initial visit as part of an extensive diagnostic pulse evaluation.
It only takes a minute, but it provides critical information about the stability of the heart. Given how myocarditis and other heart pathology has recently taken center stage, this two minute assessment is a very useful tool.
Take a look at the video:
You can read Ross’s post to learn why anything over a 12 bpm rate hike points to some degree of imbalance that should be addressed… and why a drop in pulse rate could be even more serious.
And if you’re looking to gain a deeper understanding of health mechanisms and even the broader imbalances we’re now seeing in the world through a lens of Chinese medicine and Daoism, I recommend following Ross’s substack. So much of what is unfolding makes a lot of sense… and so much healing is available to us if we take the time to understand.
Meanwhile, please let me know if you decide to try “the arm swing." I’m curious to hear about any attempts to DIY this assessment.
