Today in yoga, Mary (my instructor) said, “Rest your intellect and allow for your heart’s voice.”
So I tried that today.
I sat outside in the sun and watched lots of bees visit clover blossoms that now cover my lawn and decided that I love my lawn full of clover.
I listened to music and pulled weeds.
I chatted with my daughter as we ran errands.
I tidied up my house just because it felt nice to create tidiness.
I hung some paintings.
I watered my garden with compassion for plants that wilted after a long day of baking in the sun.
I hung out with Ross and my dogs.
I gave myself an acupuncture treatment.
I sat in a hammock and ate watermelon.
I enjoyed so many small pleasures today that I might have missed had I been preoccupied with all the things that keep my head busy.
It was nice.
I recommend it.
(Thank you, Mary!)
oh, you're an acupuncturist? how cool! so is my wife!
Been doin' that. It seems to be about balance, and harmonics. Peace, Love, Freedom. Fuzz
