This magically showed up on my feed this morning.
Anyone who reads any of my work can probably understand why this is fitting: this pandemic/awakening has got me all up in my head. My body could use a little more attention and my yoga practice could use some revitalizing.
Apparently my subconscious also has some feedback for me...
“Hugs are charging stations for humans.”
These were the words I heard in my head as I woke up one morning this week, prompting me to jump out of bed and find Ross so I could test the theory right away.
Based on my own personal data, hugs are indeed energizing and healing. It’s an experiment I love to repeat and results are consistent. And it makes sense: putting your heart right up against someone else’s and using your arms like connecting cables. With the right energy source, of course.
But something tells me that the research I need to do today is more experiential.
Yoga, hugs and a walk with my dogs have me off to a good start, but if I’m going to take the reuniting with my body thing seriously, I need something healthy and delicious right now… and I’m looking for some new “feel good” music if anyone wants to drop me a link!
