No, I don't see the imagery in that ad as something that is about the potential to create. As an amateur musician and hobbyist, I see the message as being more like it can all be condensed into something plastic and artificial. That there's nothing special about a guitar or a piano, that it just needs to go away, and be replaced. The wooden dummy represents humans trying to stop the crushing homogenization of the things that we love... to no avail.

“The wooden dummy represents humans trying to stop the crushing homogenization of the things that we love... to no avail.” This right here. Spot on. Burning imagery of helplessness into our minds.

Aesthetics were such an important part of Steve Jobs' vision. I can only imagine the obscenities he would have screamed at whoever created this video, as he threw them bodily from the building, had they done it on his watch.

Designed by hideous sociopaths, a satanic horror movie. Reality can be trashed, only their fantasy world matters.

Do they not get how obvious they are or do they just not care? What do you think?

They are consumed by their illusion of superiority so my guess is that they don't see it. It's like a mental illness in which they are embedded. I have a nephew in California who used to work for Boeing - some years ago he told me Boeing was no longer a great engineering giant, just a shell assembling parts for profit. Because of him I tend to read Boeing news. I just read https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68979354 - whistle-blowers get demoted, or worse. Now see what a mess Boeing is in. I wonder if in Apple there were people who said - this video doesn't feel good, and their view was discarded. There’s a related point I will share with you and others later when I have thought it out. Best wishes to you.

Very scary about Boeing. Truly a sign that humanity is struggling. It’s sad that people would use creativity to blunt our imagination and break our spirits. Soul crushing is what I think when I see the Apple video.
