Too many people think that it is still sixty years when corruption was much less and political parties actually were real with real differences in opinions. Unfortunately, the whole political economy, especially with both political parties, is deeply corrupt with the various “sides” just offering a choice of poisons.

So 1964, right after the Kennedy assassinations (which were definitely not carried out by the CIA, just ask them — even though they refuse to declassify the documents around the assassinations that they were supposed to disclose by law years ago); the Gulf of Tonkin lies by the government and media that dragged us into Vietnam; the FBI trying to get MLK to kill himself by threatening to out his infidelities; Operations Mockingbird and MKUltra; the CIA overthrowing democratically-elected Mossadegh in Iran to protect US and British oil interests; etc etc.?

I think your view of the lack of corruption back in the day might be a bit rose-colored, we just have much more visibility into how the government manufactures public opinion using a compliant press and how our Potemkin politics actually work now than we did then.

True, I should have that **comparatively** it was less corrupt, and more importantly, **functional** on a society-wide level, but the security state was always murderously corrupt, just not as murderously.

Look at the past thirty years especially since 9/11 where the whole American nation has been deeply conditioned to fear everything, excessively armoring society against "terrorism" and "extremism." The fear, incompetence, and dysfunction has increased dramatically compared to today's mess.

As my grandparents' generation has died, those experienced the World Wars, the Great Depression, as well as the chaos of the various movements of the Twentieth Century, and received the much better education of the first two-thirds of that century have left, we are increasingly ruled by the incompetent, the fearful, and the poorly educated.

I keep thinking of how we would handle the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Civil Rights Movement, Women's Liberation, the many, many riots, marches, bombings, and assassinations of the 1960s and 70s, the Moon Landing, and Gay Rights; I do not think we have the capacity to face or do anything in that last sentence at all. It is saddening to understand that those American Moon landings might never happen again and that any serious reform movement, no matter how massive, needed, even peaceful, is likely to be murdered in the most literal sense.

I posit that the imposition of Neoliberalism with its maniacal focus on money as the determinate of the value of everything with society, including the concept of truth, being reduced to fiction, aiding the growth of an omnipresent parasitical corruption. It went from a hindrance, to a serious disease, and now to a fatal cancer. A parasitism that is exclusively focused on hiding it all consuming nature with any competence beyond consumption being that of preventing its hinderance. It is our dark, murky ocean that we now swim in, so deep are we in it, we cannot see the essential emptiness of that ocean. Our society of today is nothing like the one of the 1960s for it is now a façade hiding an empty space, whereas before it was strong walls full of rooms that we saw.

We are noticing more, not only because of the greater number of sources of information as you correctly point to, we are seeing the increasing tatteredness of the façade as it too is consumed.

There’s a palpable sense of something shifting in society and this video is an example. I hope enough people are waking up but I’m not yet optimistic about it

People are definitely waking up. But we're attached to a timeline and an election and I don't think that's how it works. I mean, I care about this election and I get how it matters. It's high stakes, but it's still just a snapshot in history. Sometimes I wonder if this has become the story of whether we overcome our egos or whether our egos overcome us.

Hopefully, other people might see this and take heed.

It takes a lot of gusto to come out with the truth -- especially now, because the truth is maximally damaging to those who's existence is based on lies.

For each and every person like this that comes forward. The Blob/Deep State/Permanent Government gets a little bit weaker.

Thanks for getting this out there!

Agree. This isn't just about the DNC. There's a much bigger systemic problem. Money comprises the puppet strings woven throughout politics.

That's the Uniparty for you. Of the United Arms Depot of Israel, dare I add.

I saw the same type of people when I went to an event about volunteering for a Hilary Clinton fundraiser in 2007-2008. Most of them were well-off, upper middle-class white, liberal, college-educated, young women.

I just listened to her latest podcast. She adds a lot of additional insight... but it looks like she may have taken down the latest episode (We've gone VIRAL). I imagine the attention is a lot.

Love these kinds of testimonies, but there should be a zillion more. Sadly there is not. We have 10 weeks to take our country back, and because we haven’t organized, nothing has been done to fight back against a stolen election, or a grid blackout or an attack on Americans. We needed to mount an epic response to fight the epic control and we failed to do it. So, now we will have the government we deserve.

Maybe there ARE a zillion more (well, maybe not a zillion..) and they've just been censored. There's certainly been self-censoring. But honesty and openness are always a good sign, even in the 11th hour. Especially in the 11th hour.

For over a century, the egos of almost every one we have trusted with decision-making authority have been writing checks their bodies can’t cash.

And we have accepted it as The Way Things Are, because our society has led us to believe that our experienced insights and common sense count for nothing … and that we should not make the effort and take the risks to engage them to protect ourselves from the hubris of such authorities.

Thank you, Philip. I’m grateful for her, too. We will never have effective change while we fail to acknowledge what really needs to change. Ultimately we all have to go inward, but she lays out the plight of acknowledging inconvenient observations well here.

Thank you again. 🙏

If we restored the originap amount of representatives per capital as the Founders intended then congressmen would be more incentivized to knock on doors rather than mindless fundraising. It wouldn't have direct effect on the presidential races but I think the ripple effects would alter the entire system.

This is one of the facets of the fake narrative. Feeling like something is over the horizon is just as plastic as “joy” from people who lop off baby heads and think it’s not just fine, but funny, and need to smash it in your face.
