Most people adjust their beliefs to fit in with their peer group and keep their jobs. It starts out as an act, but go through the motions enough times and it molds your thoughts.
This is why it's dangerous to try to keep your head down and keep operating within the machine. Your actions shape your thoughts just as much as your thoughts shape your actions. It's a two way street.
All of these governments, corporations, and their various fronts, that claim to be the saving the planet are the clearest case of heartlessness that I can imagine. They manifest The Gap, i.e., the spiritual plane where the light of love is pushed out. The Gap is the greatest source of misery, denial, disease, pain, density, and death on Earth. It is where The Will is pushed into, in a state of denial, outside of the light of love. It is where The Will faces spinning down and compression, into unconsciousness, fragmentation, and its death.
What is happening on "the planet", is a reflection of the denial of The Will and The Mother (of Earth). The storms and weather are the desperate throws of The Mother to heal Herself and the Earth, all in the face of unloving compression. This is the goal of Lucifer and heartlessness is his power to do so, i.e., the opposite of loving light being able to heal.
The greatest perpetrators of this unloving light, those that pollute the Earth, and enable continual wars, are here to tell us that it they who are to save the planet. That it requires that we embrace more guilt, shame, and denial of our own will (i.e., submit to their subjugation), which will spread heartlessness even further.
In short, essentially what people call "The Devil", the manifest priests of unloving light, want to teach us how to heal that which they've denied beyond our wildest imagination. And it only takes us to deny what's left of our hearts and each other.
